Who are Veritas ? Veritas (the Latin word for Truth) is a group of young adults, 18-35yrs, who are striving to gain greater knowledge and understanding of the Catholic Faith. They meet regularly and invite speakers to present topics of interest. There is lively discussion, social interaction, and organised social functions. Only requirement is to "think: and question more. No expectations are placed on anyone in regard to personal faith commitment, knowledge or participation.

The weekend will be a great chance for young people to learn about many aspects of the Catholic faith and to pray.

40 hours eucharistic adoration

Veritas Normanhurst

At Veritas we search for answers. Our group meets regularly at Queen of Peace Catholic Church in Normanhurst. We have guest speakers, prayer and social events. Some favourite topics from 99 were The morality of war, What is love and St Bernadette and the medical cures of Lourdes. Favourite social event of 99 was The Italian Banquet. Look forward to heaps more for the Jubilee year. Veritas Normo is a great way to make new friends and get closer to God. Hope you can make it to the weekend away! Youth Defense

Youth Defense Australia is a pro-life youth organisation that aims to change the attitudes of Australians on issues such as abortion, euthanasia, IVF, cloning, chastity and parenthood. Its approach is based on natural law reasoning and is open to people of any religious persuasion. Youth Defense Australia is involved in activities such as street stalls in shopping centres and fairs, education, innovative protesting and counseling. Next Generation

As the youth programme of Human Life International (the worlds largest pro-life/pro-family group) Next Generation takes a total approach to life issues. We see that abortion is a symptom of a contraceptive mentality which devalues human life and encourages numerous other abuses like promiscuity, pornography, IVF, etc. While working to oppose these threats to life and family we also aim to promote Catholic spirituality and culture.
